My long wait is finally over, too, and I am sending out a big thank you to my angel, Valerie! I received my kit on Saturday. Details and a picture are on my blog. Everything about the kit was perfect, and I can’t wait to start knitting mittens!
I received a wonderful kit from Lauren! I’ve just posted photos and details of what she sent. I also included pictures of the basket I sent to Ingrid in Sweden (no blog) for the swap.

Would any of you care to volunteer as angels for KMKS? As far as I can tell, there are 8 people who did not yet get kits. I know one kitter is waiting on a mail ordered item before sending, and I’m in the process of contacting the other people who have not yet sent. Nothing stinks more about swaps than flakes. I understand that life “gets in the way,” but please e-mail me and your pal if that’s the case before we ask someone else to expend their time, money, and energy to fulfill your obligation.

My kit finally arrived last week and I’ve been remiss in thanking my generous partner, Linda. I am a bad bad blogger (or as Miss Violet would say, “bad blogger, no cookie!). Included were two thrummed mitten patterns, I guess so I can pick the one I like. Also was a skein of Nature Spun and roving for the thrums. Oh! and the bag is a beautifully constructed Booga Bag. Everything yarny is in my favorite color RED! Linda also included some fun little things with my initial “J” on them and a KnitPicks circular needle in the perfect size for baby hats that I will definitely use. Since I haven’t tried KP needles yet I’m excited to see if they live up to all the hype.

My swap parnter outdid herself on this one! Deborah, thank you for the georgous felted bag (with the faire isle snowflakes!), the beautiful worsted wieght wool/mohair yarn in yummy blues and greens, the wood and bamboo needles (both dpns and circulars!), and the knit mitten book and knit a day calendar. I also want to thank you for the soap and handmade wash cloth. I will treaseure all of these!
PS The taffies were gone in less than a day!

I have also posted pictures of my kit I received and the one I sent on my blog http://spindledreams.com/serendipity/ I have emailed with my reciver and she loved her kit she said Grin her favorite item seems to be the bag I sent. Yes it is mitered squares but it is also a variegated yarn which adds to the look.
